Privacy Policy

Overview

KeyLen AI is designed with your privacy as a core principle. This policy describes how we handle your data when you use the app.

Local Document Processing

1. PDF files remain on your device. When you select a PDF for analysis, the file is opened and read locally on your device. The original PDF file is not uploaded to any server.
2. Text is extracted locally. Text extraction from your PDF is performed entirely on your device. The analysis uses the text that is extracted, not the file itself.
3. On the Android version, a temporary local copy may be made. To extract the text, the Android app may first copy the PDF you selected into its own private storage on the device. That copy stays on your device, is excluded from device backups, is not uploaded, and is removed together with the app's stored data.

AI Analysis

1. Extracted text is sent for analysis. Only the extracted text content — not the PDF file — is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection to the KeyLen AI cloud analysis service for immediate analysis.
2. The analysis service forwards requests to an AI provider. To perform the AI analysis you request, the KeyLen AI Backend sends the extracted text required for analysis to the AI technology service provider currently used by the service (currently DeepSeek). Document text is used solely to fulfill the current analysis request.
3. No user account required. A randomly generated anonymous identifier is used for request routing, rate limiting, quota, and subscription management. This identifier does not contain your name, email address, or other directly identifying account information.

Data Storage and Retention

• Analysis results are stored on your device. AI-generated analysis results are saved locally on your device, using the local storage that the platform provides, so you can reopen them.
• Analysis results are also stored by the analysis service. The result of an analysis is retained on the KeyLen AI analysis service, associated with your anonymous identifier, for support and quality review.
• Retention. Analysis records on the service — including the stored result — are deleted on a 90-day schedule. Daily usage records are kept for 90 days, and monthly usage totals for 13 months. These periods cover analysis records and usage records only; they do not cover subscription or purchase ownership records.
• Original PDFs are not stored on our servers. The KeyLen AI analysis service does not persist your original PDF files.
• Extracted document text is not retained. The analysis service does not store the extracted text of your documents.
• Service logs are sanitized. Cloudflare's edge infrastructure maintains operational logs that may include request metadata (timestamps, status codes, response times) and an anonymous request identifier. These logs do not contain the full document text, credentials, or API keys.
• AI technology service provider. The extracted text is sent to the AI technology service provider currently used by the service (currently DeepSeek) in order to produce the analysis you requested.

Network and Infrastructure Data

Cloudflare, our content delivery and edge computing provider, may process standard network information — such as IP addresses and request metadata — for security, routing, rate limiting, and operational diagnostics. KeyLen AI does not use this information for advertising, user profiling, or behavioral tracking.

Service Usage Data

To provide the service, enforce usage limits, and manage subscription entitlements, KeyLen AI may store limited operational data such as analysis request identifiers, analysis mode, request status, quota usage, subscription entitlement status, and a randomly generated anonymous identifier. This data is used only for app functionality and service operation, not for advertising, behavioral profiling, or cross-app tracking.

Information We Do Not Collect

• Your name, email, or contact information
• Your device identifiers for advertising purposes
• Your precise location
• Behavioral analytics or advertising profiles

Third-Party Services

KeyLen AI does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash reporting SDKs. The external services used to operate the app are the AI analysis API, Cloudflare's edge infrastructure, and our email delivery provider, which is used only to send service email and does not receive document content.

Purchases & Subscriptions

This section describes KeyLen AI for iOS. Pro subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store (StoreKit). Apple processes payment information under its own privacy policy, and KeyLen AI does not access your payment credentials. To verify subscription status and provide Pro features, limited subscription information — such as product and transaction identifiers, subscription status, and entitlement information — may be processed by our service and associated with the app's randomly generated anonymous identifier. This information is used only for subscription verification, entitlement management, and app functionality, and is not used for advertising or tracking.

Children's Privacy

KeyLen AI is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Your Control

You can delete any or all analysis results at any time from within the app.

Deleting the app removes the documents and analysis results it stores on your device. How the randomly generated anonymous identifier behaves after that depends on the platform. On the iOS version it may remain in the iOS Keychain after the app is deleted. On the Android version it is stored only for that installation and is removed when the app is uninstalled. In both cases, if you would also like the remaining service-side data removed, use the in-app deletion option before deleting or uninstalling the app.
